The Melkite Musings Project

I am happy to announce the launch of "The Melkite Musings Project". After some "renovations", the website is finally ready and published. You are invited to browse it briefly and get accustomed with it as a platform. Keep in mind that this is a project, not a product, and as such will be growing and developing through the year. Subscriptions will be opened on January 1st, 2024, and the first article will follow in the week.

Each month will include two exclusive articles, one exclusive interview, as well as an open-access musing. Articles and interviews are accessible based on the subscription plan you choose. Musings will be free, either new or republished ones.

The Melkite Church will be celebrating in 2024 its 300th anniversary of reunion with the Catholic Church (1724). Our Patriarch Yusuf Absi has declared it a Jubilee Year. As such, "The Melkite Musings Project" is being launched in this special moment in history, but is the fruit of over 6 years of slow but sure work. It will keep developing throughout the year, including courses and products available for purchase.

Since it is a long-term project, each year will explore specific topics. Of course, the articles of the first year will focus on the Melkite Church: history, schism, reunion, notable patriarchs, saints, unique traditions, art and liturgy.

While "The Melkite Musings Project" is an independent effort, it strives to be rooted in and absolutely faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Last but not least, I would like to thank my husband. Your pursuit of the divine through academic work has been a privilege to witness and learn from. Your thirst for beauty and knowledge has ignited in me, as well as Melkite Musings, a sure spark, and I hope it sets the world on fire with that same zeal for truth.

To you as well, dear Musers, those who arrive today as much as those who have accompanied me for the past 6 years, I give my most grateful thanks. Keep challenging this work, encouraging it, and, above all else, falling in love with the Bridegroom and his Church.

I wish you all a blessed end to 2023. May we have a holy and fruitful Jubilee Year!
